Still have questions? Here are a few we get asked a lot.
What types of services do you offer?
Our personalized services include but are not limited to general ledger, financial statement preparation and reporting, financial audits, financial statement analysis, budgeting, payroll, payroll and sales taxes, preparation for filing business income taxes, cash management, risk management and management of bank relationships for small to mid-sized businesses.
I'm profitable, does cash flow really matter?
While profitability is crucial for a business, cash flow is equally important. In order for a business to be healthy, it should have cash flow that supports liquidity, prevents insolvency (in other words, is able to mange their debt and expense obligations), provides for growth and investment opportunities such as equipment or expansion, maintains its creditworthiness to bankers and investors, and is able to survive economic downturns or unexpected disruptions.
What if I already have a bookkeeper, can I still work with your team?
Yes, even if you have a bookkeeper, you can still benefit significantly from working with an accountant.
Accountants can offer strategic financial planning with things such as longer term business financial planning, tax strategies, and investment suggestions. They can analyze your financial statements to provide deeper insights for things such as trends, financial health and improvements to make informed business decisions. Other things such as risk management, business growth and expansion, representation in a financial audit or just simply adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) can prevent you from incurring serious problems down the road.
How much do you charge for your services?
We offer a free 30 minute consultation at the onset to see if we are a good fit for each other and to understand what your general concerns may be. Moving forward from the introductory call means we would do a financial assessment on your business which is a high-level review of what the issues are behind the numbers. Our fee for this report is $1,295 and provides a written report of what we find needing additional attention. Should the financial statements need some clean-up, we can provide you with a clean-up proposal. Once the financials are cleaned up, our clients frequently choose to continue to utilize our services by retaining us for a fixed monthly or quarterly maintenance fee starting at $495.
Can reviewing and understanding my financial statements each month really help my business become more profitable?
Reviewing and understanding your financial statements can significantly help your business become more profitable by providing you with current and accurate data about your business's performance, identifying trends and patterns with key performance indicators (KPI's), managing your cash flow more effectively, zeroing in on unnecessary or excessive expenses, reviewing budgets against actual results to make strategic adjustments much sooner, or identifying potential financial risks.
