This includes but is not limited to general ledger, financial statement preparation and reporting, financial audits, financial statement analysis, budgeting, payroll, cash management, risk management and management of bank relationships for small to mid-sized businesses.
Our personal services extend beyond accounting functions to include work projects such as, preparation of tax compliance returns (income, benefit plans, property, payroll and sales taxes,) HR benefit consultation (including medical, 401k, PTO, and deferred compensation) transfer pricing, escheatment, property tax abatements, federal tax credits programs (such as New Markets Tax Credits) and collaboration with external professionals for items such as VISAs, legal counsel, collections and business product development.

We work closely with you and your staff to develop partnerships and relationships, offer support, education and training; and suggest proven methods to streamline your operations. Our goal is for you and your staff to achieve and attain the highest and best outcomes for your business.
In May, 2017, Anita Knudtson formed Experient Consultancy, Inc. After an extensive career in corporate environments, she realized clients were in need of more than just accounting and financial advice to better manage their businesses more efficiently. They were looking for a partner to provide unbiased and trustworthy support. Anita knew she could help fill this gap by not only providing expert advice, but approaching each new challenge with a personal, professional and honest approach while addressing tough topics; and streamlining and simplifying internal processes. Experient Consultancy has allowed Anita to support businesses and their leaders, and help them and their staff improve upon their current systems.
Anita is a regarded and trusted licensed CPA, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) and CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) as well as a member of the AICPA, INCPA and AFP (Association for Financial Professionals) professional societies. She is an accounting graduate of Minnesota State University and has completed several MBA classes at Indiana University.
Prior to forming Experient Consultancy, Inc., Anita was the CFO of InterCambio Express, Inc., a principal MSB offering money transmitter services to the Hispanic population. In addition, she has been employed as an Engagement Manager providing Corporate Cash Management consulting services to clients of Crowe Horwath, LLC, a Big 8 national CPA firm; was the Corporate Cash & Tax Manager for Shelter Components Corporation, a $500M public manufacturing and warehouse distribution operation and as well a tax compliance professional for a regional Iowa CPA firm. While employed at Crowe Horwath, Anita published several articles on Cash Management and has been a featured speaker at several regional Treasury Management Conferences and bank seminars. She continues to speak at business groups upon request on financial topics that are educational and informative.
In her spare time, Anita serves as a board member on the Beacon Hospital Finance and Medical Group professional boards. Anita brings many years of practical hands on knowledge from her experiences in finance, tax, administration, consulting, board services and executive management.
